Jules Lc

Jules Lc (they/she) is a PhD student in the Performance Studies program. Jules is an interdisciplinary artist and scientist from the Bay Area (Ohlone land), centering the intrinsic value and interconnectedness of life. From foraging fungi to generative algorithms, Jules's work addresses how we can understand natural intelligence within and without dominant epistemes. Jules has extensive experience in laboratory research on evolutionary neurobiology and has investigated the evolution of sensing. Jules has also created numerous works at the intersection of art and science, including “Water Is Earth’s Technology,” a lichen-as-Interface installation.
